A first for commercial cinema — an unprecedented cultural initiative bringing cinema, heritage, and storytelling directly into classrooms across Egypt.
Desert Eagle Films (DEF), in collaboration with BUC Studios and in strategic partnership with CIRA Education, has officially launched the Kemet: Year One School Tour — a groundbreaking regional initiative redefining how commercial filmmaking connects with the next generation.
Over the next month alone, the team will travel across 15 leading schools, meeting face-to-face with thousands upon thousands of young fans and students in one of the largest youth engagement campaigns ever launched for a commercial feature film in the region. From packed auditoriums and live filmmaker sessions to immersive presentations and cast interactions, the scale of engagement has already proven extraordinary within just the first few visits.
This is far beyond a traditional promotional campaign. It is a first-of-its-kind cultural movement designed to inspire a new generation through cinema, reconnect young audiences with the story of their ancestors, and bring the world of filmmaking directly to students across the country.
A bold first for commercial cinema
Historically, commercial feature films have had limited access to school environments — largely due to the sensitivity around younger audiences and the nature of commercial mainstream content.
Kemet: Year One breaks that barrier.
Through a carefully structured initiative backed by BUC Studios and CIRA Education, the film is entering academic spaces in a way that is controlled, meaningful, and deeply engaging.
And from day one, the response has been undeniable.
Top schools and universities across the region have welcomed the initiative with packed auditoriums, real engagement, and immediate connection — signaling something far bigger than a tour.

Cinema meets education — at scale
This collaboration represents a powerful alignment between:
Desert Eagle Films — delivering a large-scale cinematic production
BUC Studios — providing institutional and production infrastructure
CIRA Education — enabling direct access to a new generation of audiences
Together, they are building a new model where cinema is no longer observed from a distance — but experienced firsthand.
Inside the experience
Each visit offers students a rare, direct connection to the people behind the film:
One-on-one interaction with cast and crew
Real conversations about acting, directing, and production
Behind-the-scenes insight into building a prehistoric world from scratch
Exposure to real career paths in the creative industry
For many, this is the first time they are not just watching a film — but understanding how it’s made.

Reconnecting a generation with its roots
At its core, Kemet: Year One is a story set in 9186 BC — a time before recorded history, before kingdoms, before civilization as we know it.
Bringing this story into schools is intentional.
It reconnects students with:
Their ancestral identity
The origins of survival and human resilience
The foundations of culture, unity, and civilization
And the connection is real.
Students aren’t just reacting — they’re engaging, questioning, and connecting.
Just the beginning
With momentum building from the very first stop, the Kemet School Tour is already establishing itself as a landmark initiative in regional cinema.
Backed by BUC Studios and CIRA Education, this is more than a campaign — it’s a new standard.

A statement from Desert Eagle Films
“In partnership with BUC Studios and CIRA Education, we are proud to bring Kemet: Year One directly to students across the region. The reception from day one has been extraordinary — and it reinforces exactly why this matters.”
This has never been done before. And it’s only the beginning.
Kemet: Year One
Before the Pharaohs. Before the Pyramids. Before history had a name.
Survival Sparks Civilization.
